Hortus Botanicus Leiden, as part of Leiden University, is experiencing growth as a cultural institution, heading towards 250,000+ visitors. The Hortus Grand Café, located within the entrance building, is used for this purpose, along with the Oranjerie, Tuinkamer and Sterrewacht, which are available for event rentals. Vijverborgh works closely with the management as a dialogue partner, advising on the future direction of hospitality and food services. This is done to optimally serve visitors during the various busy scenarios throughout the seasons.
